A new standby / co-gen plant was installed to service Crowns existing Clarke St. Building. The Clarke St. Building contains Crowns administration offices, fully automated wardrobe for staff, retail and staff amenities. Waste heat was used to provide heating hot water and domestic hot water to Crowns Metropol Hotel;
- Two 450 Kva Caterpillar Gas Fired Generators c/w high pressure heat exchangers and pumps;
- New Switchboards to serve both the gensets and to allow for the connection of the new plant to the existing Clarke St. building infrastructure;
- New Master Programmed Logic Controller (PLC) c/w new UPS and SCADA to support it;
- New Fault Limiting inductor that was required to be installed to limit fault contribution to Citipower infrastructure;
- Harmonic testing and monitoring to Citipower strict requirements ;
- Subsequent install of Harmonic Filtration System to ensure that Citipower requirements were met on site;
- Construction of two new plant rooms, one to house the new engines and associated plant and equipment and one to allow
for the installation of a new switchboard to allow for the inter-connection of the gensets to the Clarke St.
