SUMMARY
SPMG assisted one of our clients in the education sector with a Building Order, which required them to undertake significant improvements to their facility. With limited resources and historical information regarding the facility, our client sought our help.
Our team worked diligently to seek approval from the Municipal Building Surveyor and Fire Rescue Victoria to submit a Modification Application via the Building Appeals Board. The application was successful, and we were able to substantially reduce the amount of physical work required whilst maintaining safety requirements.
As a result, the current cost of the work is only a fraction of the initial costs. This was a major win for our education sector client, who would have otherwise been greatly impacted financially.
WORKS INCLUDED
Conducted thorough testing of the existing fire system to determine its performance. Created drawings and layouts based on site surveys.
Liaised with relevant authorities and regulators to seek all relevant approvals.
Developed comprehensive work specifications to provide clear guidance to contractors.
Preparation and management of the Building Appeals Board Application.
Oversight of the tendering process and management of the on-site works.
We concluded the project by developing a Maintenance Determination.
