With over 250 specialty stores and major department stores such as Myer, Coles, Target, Kmart, Woolworths, Aldi, Best & Less, Liquorland, Rebel Sport, Hoyts Frankston, Holey Moley Golf Club, and Strike Bowling Bar, Bayside Shopping Centre provides a comprehensive shopping experience. Situated in the heart of Frankston, Bayside Shopping Centre brings the convenience of local shopping to your fingertips, with two food courts and late-night trading on Thursday and Friday evenings. Its exciting entertainment precinct boasts a 12-screen cinema complex, a variety of restaurants and cafes, and 3,500 easily accessible undercover parking bays.
In order to meet the current and future requirements of the facility, a significant upgrade was undertaken for Bayside Shopping Centre’s critical central chiller plant.
Specialised, in close collaboration with the consulting engineers and mechanical contractor, successfully tendered, won, and managed the construction of this remarkable project.

- The project involved the installation of a new Water Cooled chiller, designed to be adaptable for future upgrades if required.
- To ensure minimal disruption to the operational campus-style shopping centre, the replacement was carried out while the facility was fully functional.
- Structural modifications were made to facilitate the extraction of the existing chiller, and a meticulously planned cranage process was executed over a live site, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- To ensure a seamless implementation, the new chiller was pre-ordered in accordance with the delivery program, demonstrating careful project management and coordination.
