Summary

SPMG was engaged by Vicinity to oversee the delivery of the New Chadstone Shopping Centre Infrastructure and Services Masterplan including; Mechanical ( Including BAS), Electrical, Hydraulics ( Gas, Sewer and Water), Civil ( Stormwater), Fire and Communications.

SPMG were responsible for the preparation of a detailed report that addressed the sites existing infrastructure and building services and assessed the impact and limitations that the redevelopment of the site would have on it.

Works Included

Oversee and manage the delivery of a building services and infrastructure master plan review for the Chadstone site, this included procurement and engagement of all consultants;
Review of existing studies and analysis reports that have previously been prepared for the site;
Oversee the preparation of new/updated models and assessments. These models reviewed the current and future demands of the site
Liaison with appropriate authorities, contractors and client representatives including;
- Local councils to understand any masterplanning or future developments;
- Relevant services and infrastructure authorities
- Operations / maintenance to understand current status of plant and equipment
- Onsite maintenance contractors to understand current life cycle of plant and equipment as well as any issues with regard to the long-term operation and maintenance of the equipment and plant on site
Executive and board presentation and delivery of final outcomes and recommendations
Oversee the preparation and delivery of a detailed masterplan report that addressed;
- The current status of all plant, equipment and infrastructure of the existing site
- The impact that a sitewide redevelopment would have on all plant, equipment and infrastructure
- A staged upgrade and prioritisation plan that correlated with the sites redevelopment program
- Budgets and estimates for all works
- The impacts and staging of interfacing with the operational business
- A review of the capital works 5 and 10 year plan and an assessment of how the redevelopment would impact expenditure and/or eliminate the need for programmed works and timing
- Interfaces with authority upgrades works in the immediate area were also addressed.
